Because it is so gentle and non-invasive it is suitable for everyone and has very few contra-indications (see FAQ).

What to expect from a session? 

The session is 1h (1h30 for the first session). It starts by a conversation so I can understand your health condition and goals. 

You lie on a comfortable table, with your clothes on. I gently touch various parts of your body to locate areas of weaker flow or tissue motion. Then I use very gentle techniques to release those areas until I feel the tissues soften and lengthen. Most of the time, my hands will have very a soft touch. There is no manipulation or bone cracking. 

Generally, clients feel a deep relaxation, sensation of warmth or gentle pulsing in the areas that I am working on. Some people may not feel very much during a session and experience its effects afterwards. Occasionally, stronger reactions can be felt. Most clients come off of the table rested and refreshed, and the effects of treatment may continue to strengthen in the following days.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on how your body reacts to CranioSacral Therapy, and the origin of the problem, physical or emotional. 

  • If your goal is to relax, improve your general health and let go of some stress, 1 or 2 sessions will be very beneficial.

  • If you want to address a chronic condition, I recommend you come for at least 3-6 sessions to see how your symptoms respond. 

CranioSacral Therapy encourages your body to tell its own story rather than treating your symptoms according to a certain protocol. The cause of the same symptoms and the pace it requires to get better can be very different from one person to the next.
